An evening of readings by participants of the Southern Summer School and the Critical Studies Department of the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam. The readings are the outcome of a workshop organised by writers Ioanna Gerakidi, Phumzile Twala and Annie Goodner. The evening will include contributions from Uzair Ben Ebrahim, Thato Magano, Thato Rossouw, Elaine Reynolds and students from the Critical Studies Programme.
This event is hosted by San Serriffe, a small art book shop in the center of Amsterdam founded by Elisabeth Klement and Pieter Verbeke in 2011. The selection of books focuses on small press publishing as well as theory and artist’s books. Parallel to the shop, they also run a weekly program of lectures, book launches and exhibitions.
